Our Adult Sunday School Class

Linn’s Adult Sunday School Class meets at 9:00 a.m. during the school year.   Pastor Jim leads the very informal, weekly class on the hottest current world events!  The class focuses on a different topic weekly looking at it Biblically and morally. If you attend regularly we can send you the topic by e-mail, which includes some discussion questions and the Biblical references we read during the class.  Then you can come fully prepared for a lively discussion!  The topic is one that anyone can join at anytime and feel part of the group.

KERYGMA – THE BIBLE IN DEPTH

Meets Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. The study is thematic in approach rather than a Genesis to Revelation chronological progressive type study which allows you the opportunity to join at any time.  For more information please contact Bob or Mary Winter.

THE BETH MOORE BIBLE STUDY

Currently meeting on Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. at the church.  The current study is underway.  The studies are for women, each 10 weeks in length.  Each week we meet for approximately 2 hours, one hour to meet in small groups to discuss the weekly workbook and another 50 minutes to view the corresponding video by Beth Moore.  The books for the studies cost approximately $20.00 to $23.  Please join us for one of these awesome studies!  Please contact Suzanne Floody at for more information.

THE BOOK CLUB...

Book Club is reading Inside The Kingdom, a candid memoir by Carmen Bin Ladin.  The group will meet at Evelyn Cornue’s home on Wed., June 13, 2007, at 7 PM. Does the name Bin Ladin sound familiar?  That is because the author was married to Osama Bin Laden’s younger bother, Yeslam.  She lived among the Bin Laden Family in Saudi Arabia and tells about life in one of the most powerful, secretive and repressive countries in the world.  To borrow a phrase from Joan Rivers, “It is a fast read, but a slow forget.”  This book will make for a lively discussion at our June meeting.

------------------

The book Club is best described as an informal gathering of a diverse group of church members and non-members who all like “a good read” and enjoy lively discussions.  The club meets every other month, on the second Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The book club is so informal and laid-back that the name of our organization is simply, Book Club. We collect no dues; have no officers and require no book reviews.  Get the idea?  We are an unorganized organization. Variety is the key word in our book selection.  We alternate with fiction and nonfiction books.  We choose books that are available at the local library.                                                             Everyone is welcome.  Any questions, call Carol Frandolig
